It is often said that something good always comes out of something bad and this is certainly true for Life and Laughter. The concept of Life and Laughter began soon after the catastrophic South-East Asian tsunami of 2004.

We travelled to Sri Lanka to help out with a rebuilding project, and when we returned Heather was invited to do a presentation about our trip at a conference to increase awareness and raise funds for future work.

We felt the best possible way to present what we had seen and experienced was a short video including footage taken on the trip alongside still photos. The enormous success of this video inspired us to create a full length video presentation.

Since that time we have spent a lot of time travelling, and have realised how difficult it can be to explain our experiences of other countries and cultures to friends and family back home. Making a movie to share is a wonderful way to express what we can’t put into words, and now we make a movie of every trip that we take.

Our vision for Life and Laughter has grown from a small seed sown after the Tsunami, into a full editing business today. We now edit other people’s travel video and home movies so that they can enjoy reliving and sharing their experiences in the same way as we have.
